Le Pré Catelan

I've been invited to a New Year's Day lunch at the wonderful Le Pré Catelan restaurant in Paris ... 

(sadly only virtually) with a great bunch of blogging friends!

but what to wear ...

I decided to go with the Giulieta polka-dot silk-crepe dress, Yves Saint Laurent shoes, Maison Martin Margiela  

& Assad Mounser bracelets & a Anya Hindmarch clutch.

We also shared our thoughts on going forward into the New Year ....I liked this quote from Marc Hack

Oh yes please...don't you just love being invited to long lunches in interesting locations with great company. I've totally fallen for the loft and the pared back furniture, fantastic ....

Food With Friends

There is something so relaxing about enjoying simple (or totally decadent food, as pictured :) with friends...the weekend is perfect for it.

The three mouth watering dishes shown are from Donna Hay's latest mag, the first is a salted caramel and vanilla baked cheesecake...need I say more..yum, recipe here.
